A simple guide to reading mineral photographs with care.
Build a complete view
Begin with an overall view, then look at the details. Request photographs of the front, back and edges under comparable lighting, with dimensions shown separately. A dramatic close-up is one part of a visual record, and a helpful starting point for asking more specific questions.
A reference, not a stock photograph
Showcase editorial for design review. The licensed mineral photograph is illustrative and may show material from outside Madagascar. It is not a photograph of Gemma inventory. Prices, availability, provenance and purchasing terms must be confirmed separately.
